Your journey as a Christian starts with understanding what the Gospel is and believing it. Simply put, the Gospel is good news. It is the message about God’s plan to reconcile mankind to Himself through Jesus Christ.
I love this definition of the Gospel by Apostle Emmanuel Iren:
“The Gospel is that God has fulfilled His plan to accept the death, burial, and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ, as the propitiation for the sins of mankind and has ever since bestowed righteousness and eternal life to everyone who believes.”
This means that salvation from sin and eternal death is a gift from God, received by putting your faith in Jesus and His redemptive work.
The Bible in John 3:16 (NLT) says, “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”
God loves you, and He wants to have a relationship with you. He wants you to spend eternity with Him. The only thing you need to do is believe in Jesus and what He has done to save you from the penalty and power of sin.
I pray that you believe in this good news and receive the salvation that God has freely offered through Jesus Christ.

A Prayer of Faith
If you would like to accept this gift of salvation and begin a right relationship with God, say this prayer as a declaration of your faith in Jesus:

Congratulations, and welcome to the family of God!
