As a human, it’s easier for you to remember the bad days, the sad moments, the lonely times, the times when serving felt so tiring, or when ministry felt difficult. But you can train yourself to focus on the good things and remember them more than the times when you were struggling.

Whenever you experience something beautiful or when you have something you’re grateful for, I encourage you to document it. You can keep a gratitude list where you’re writing at least one thing you’re grateful for each day. This way, no matter how you’re feeling, you have a record to show that things are actually good.

You’d be able to tell yourself, “I might be having a bad day right now, but it doesn’t mean that I have a bad life. It doesn’t mean that I have a bad marriage. It doesn’t mean that my walk with God is terrible. There are still good things which I’m grateful for.”

So document the good things so that you can remember and be thankful in all circumstances.
