There are instances when a believer moves abroad and does something you consider inappropriate. At that moment, you might feel disappointed, surprised or sad about the incident. Beyond how you feel, there are good ways to respond to such happenings.
In this episode, I discuss 5 things you can do when a believer who moved or lives abroad acts out of character:
  1. Resist the urge to spread the shocking news.
  2. Pray for the believer wholeheartedly.
  3. Reach out to the believer if you have access to them or ask their friend to do so.
  4. Share resources with the person to help them hold on to the faith.
  5. Keep loving the believer even while you establish necessary boundaries.

Listen, learn & enjoy!

Let me know what stood out for you or if you have any questions in the comment section.

β†’ How else can someone respond when a believer they know abroad acts out of character?

Be sure to share this post with your friends too.

Amazing presentation. I have gained a lot. The second point on Prayer is what stood out for me. My question is what happens if you have done all the five options , but they still do not see any reason to come back to the fold.

Thank you so much for the lovely comment. Glad it was helpful.

To answer your question, in addition to continuing doing all I shared in the episode:
Don’t lose hope. Keep praying for them because your prayers are effective as a believer.

Remember that God cares about this person too. He wants them to come back into His arms. So know that God hears and answers your prayers for them.

Have faith in God’s power to save this person.
Stay in the place of prayer till you see the change.
Love them and remember to still guard your heart or set necessary boundaries.

      I hope this helps.

I found this very profound. Resisting the urge to spread the shocking news and praying continuously for them.
I love the part of setting boundaries for your own protection but never stop loving them.
    Thank you for this Oyinkan
