Beyond the assurance of your salvation, the presence of the Holy Spirit within you as a believer transforms your life. He gives you the power to live a life that pleases God. By faith in Jesus, you can now say no to sin and live a righteous life.

‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ says, “So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.”

By the power of the Holy Spirit, you will also produce good works now that you are saved. While your good works cannot save you from the power of sin and death, they prove that you have faith in Jesus.

James 2:18 says, Now someone may argue, “Some people have faith; others have good deeds.” But I say, “How can you show me your faith if you don’t have good deeds? I will show you my faith by my good deeds.”

The Holy Spirit also empowers you to demonstrate supernatural signs that accompany your faith. By faith in Jesus, you can now perform miracles. You can heal the sick, cast out demons, speak in tongues and demonstrate many spiritual gifts.

In Mark 16:17-18 NKJV, Jesus said, “And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

The same Spirit of God who created all things and raised Jesus Christ from the dead now lives in you. He gives you supernatural abilities.

I encourage you to read your Bible, starting with the New Testament, and join a good local church where you can consistently hear accurate Bible teachings to learn more about who you are and the gifts of the Spirit that you now have in Christ.
